Location

Nestled within 500 acres, Little Wild Tribe is very privileged to enjoy the many facilities of Hadleigh Country Park; from the beautiful deciduous woodland to grassland, meadows and marshes, we have it all! Some of the park is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) with rare breeds of flora and fauna, as well as being home to a number of reservoirs and the 2012 Olympic mountain biking site.  The historic remains of Hadleigh Castle is a short walk away as is Hadleigh Rare Breeds Farm where we will regularly take the children.  It is the ideal location to give children a magical, wild childhood with a variety of areas to play, explore and learn.

Snug in the park and adjacent to the existing iron-age roundhouse, Little Wild Lodge is our fully insulated Scandinavian-style log cabin, which is our central base camp for all activities across the natural landscape of Hadleigh Park. Basecamp includes all the throws of comfort you’d expect, fully bespoke indoor and outdoor facilities for our babies, the parental pick up and drop off zone, as well accommodating our sensory garden, edible allotment, and meadow.

Ideally located a short walk away from basecamp, is Little Wild Wood; our sole-use and secure boundaried woodland site which includes our fire circle, a range of shelters and hammocks for rest and relaxation, a toilet and handwashing facilities, and even our own little stream. We have a number of indoor facilities in the event of extreme weather. Just round the corner from our Little Wild Wood, is the colloquially nicknamed ‘Ray Mears Wood’ – where the famous Mr. Mears himself used to undertake various bush-craft training.

Our location allows a variety of exciting activities all year round; from flower printing in spring and raft-building in summer, to bug hunts in autumn and sledging down snowy hills in winter, the surrounding nature offers an inspirational environment in which children thrive in all seasons.

Isn’t it time to give children the wild childhood you always dreamed of, and let them discover how to get the very best from this beautiful environment! Whether it’s exploring the woods and fields, feeding the farm animals, or just having muddy unrestricted fun, Little Wild Tribe is the place to be!
